Job Opening: Dishwasher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and reliable dishwasher specialist to join our small team. As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. You will work as part of a team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This will be a part-time position to start, approximately 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using both handwashing and commercial dishwashing machine.

• Load and unload dishwashers.

• Maintain a clean and organized dish area.

• Follow all health and safety regulations. 

• Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, such as trash removal and sweeping/mopping floors.

Qualifications:

• Reliable and punctual.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

• Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred, but not required.

About Civil:

We’re a new restaurant in Astoria, OR serving an updated take on Mediterranean food (mostly Spanish and Moroccan) in a welcoming environment. We use local ingredients when possible to craft affordable, delicious food.
